Everyone knows it's hard to get children to eat their vegetables! Sometimes it's darn-right impossible.  This book is designed to alleviate that problem...or at least attempt to!

The Boy Who Loved Broccoli is a humorous tale about Baxter, a boy who enjoys eating broccoli so much that it gives him super powers. After jumping over mountains and splashing through lakes, he goes on to perform superhero good deeds and convinces others to indulge in the delicious green veggie, only to find out that they become filled with super powers as well.
Find out what happens next when Baxter finds himself in a bit of trouble!

What People Are Saying

"The Boy Who Loved Broccoli" is such wonderful tool to help kids eat vegetables! My own children put up a hard fight every time they see something green on their plate. I read this book to them one time and now they ask me for broccoli all the time so that they can get their "superpowers"! This is a must-have for parents and teachers. What a great book written in a fun way!"

"This book is like a secret weapon to "trick" kids (in a good way, of course) into eating their veggies, and especially broccoli. I can't believe how quickly it worked too. My daughter is convinced that eating broccoli will give her super powers now. Love it!"

"How can I express how much my family loved this book? We read it one time to children, they asked us if we could make broccoli for supper! We cannot wait to share it with more of our friends and family. Such a must-have book to teach children about the importance of eating their vegetables. Thank you!"

  Why I Wrote the Book

I was inspired to write The Boy Who Loved Broccoli after the oldest of my three children had an insatiable appetite for broccoli when he was a toddler. Determined to encourage other parents to help their children develop a healthy relationship with vegetables, I started Veggie-Kids, a company which includes the VK blog compiling many of the recipes and foods I've discovered through my own journey to become strictly plant-based.
Over the years, I've become an advocate for raising healthy children and believe that by adding a healthy serving of humor and fun to the kitchen, children will be more willing to try the incredible bounty of what nature has to offer.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and three sons. You will often find me in the kitchen with a couple of youngsters helping to sprinkle, mix and taste!
